Philips - Sense and Simplicity
Wednesday, September 22nd, 2004Did see the new Philips campaigns last week, promoting their new slogan ‘Sense and Simplicity‘. While they are correct in that most electronics might be too hard to operate for the average guy, they feature the HDRW-720 in the campaing.
This is absolutely nuts, as I own one, and it must be the single most complex piece of electronics I ever bought. “When in recording mode, press and hold the red button to delete the scene. Just quickly press it to save”. WTF ?! If you hold the red button too long, it deletes instead of saves. Who ever came up with this interface ?
I absolutely love the HDRW, but simplicity ?! No way! I still recommend it to everybody, but it has a steep learning curve.
More info about the HDRW 720 here.
