Sonos 2.0

Friday, September 15th, 2006

Sonos just released version 2.0 of its software. This new version supports Rhapsody Web, so a PC is no longer needed (so it’s now also Mac compatible).

This is what I was waiting for (as I don’t have a PC to stream music, only a laptop which isn’t on 24/7), so coming to someone near you soon! Only thing left for me to wonder is if it will work from a European IP address out of the box (as right now I need to proxy my connection if I want to sign in on rhapsody.com), but I’m sure I’ll be able to make it work™

Yamaha YSP-1000

Just bought the (black) YAMAHA YSP-1000.

While planning my new appartement and the television location, I suddenly noticed that I don’t have any power in the middle of the room (doh). And as I didn’t wanted to have all kind of power-cords and speaker-cords running around my living-room, I decided to go for a virual surround system.
A quick scan of the usual places convinced me it was a viable solution, so I immediatly ordered one, together with the YST-FSW100 subwoofer.

And if this doesn’t work, I can always go for the KEF Model 11, but they aren’t available (yet).
